• Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) reduction projects in separate sewer systems both north and south of the Missouri River to reduce sewer overflows. This will include both public sewer rehabilitation projects and continuation of our Keep Out the Rain private I/I reduction program.

From 2015 to 2021, KC Water completed 12 neighborhood sewer rehabilitation projects in 6 basins of the combined sewer system as part of the Smart Sewer program. The projects restored pipes 12-inch diameter and smaller to like-new conditions to improve our sewer capacity.
